Farm Celebrates 21st Anniversary

Posted on Wednesday, 07 October 2009 02:42PM by Newark Advertiser
A farm park which offered visitors two days of free entry to celebrate it’s 21st birthday was so busy it had to turn customers away.

More than 5,500 people visited White Post Farm, Farnsfield on Saturday and Sunday 3rd & 4th October.

On Saturday staff estimated there were more than 2,000 visitors and on Sunday they were forced to turn people away as more than 3,500 people visited the farm.

The farm’s finance director, Mrs Christina Mathoon said people had travelled from all over the country to visit the farm.

She said: "It was extremely successful. We were over whelmed on Sunday by the volume of people that turned up and for the first time in the company’s history we actually had to turn customers away because we were full.

"We think some of the people who came on the Saturday came back on the Sunday and brought their friends and the weather was slightly better on Sunday.

"It was a very hectic day but we are very pleased."
