Smoking Ban Good News For Business

Almost a month after the start of the national smoking ban, pubs and restaurants in the Newark area are reporting an increase in business, rather than the expected negative effect.  It seems that people are more inclined to go out and eat a meal in a smoke-free environment, particularly families.  Most pubs in the area have catered for smokers as far as they are able with the provision of outside shelters, and most businesses have found that their customers are happy to comply with the new rules.
